Description
Many students struggle with debilitating perfectionism. In this class, students will explore drawing and painting in an encouraging environment.  We focus on mindfulness and emotional awareness, while simultaneously exploring the process of creating art using pencils, colored pencils, and watercolor paints.
Some people can sit and meditate for hours. But most of us need a little structure and help to experience the benefits meditation and mindfulness can bring. In this class, students will explore and practice guided meditative art projects and self-reflection exercises using graphite pencils, colored pencils, and watercolor paints. This class’s open, encouraging environment also quiets anxious perfectionism and allows for students to explore artistic freedom without the pressure of “doing things right.”
This class will meet for 12 weeks at 5:15 CST on Fridays starting Sept 17, 2021.  There will be no class Thanksgiving week.  The fee is $60.
